So last week I wrote about journaling here on my work blog. In it I mentioned the journal I use, and why. Just a short mention in a long list of possibilities.

Today I get a letter from the co-founder of the company that makes the journal I use. Not a note, a letter, handwritten. Clearly, they had read the post, and there was a lot of thought put into the note. No form letter here. All for an under $30 journal.

Customer service is not dead. Want to guess what I will be buying next go around? And every go around after that? 

It took five minutes to write. For a customer for life. Yeah, autoresponders are nice and have their place. But loyalty is always about people and relationships.
